Alvaro Murillo with a degree in Dance Psychopedagogy and Performer Techniques, participated in the training program of the À Corps Festival (France) receiving training from choreographers such as Imre Thorman (Butoh), Laurent Falguieras, declares himself self-taught in his way of approaching the flamenco language together with contemporary dance. He received the award for best degree in Physical Activity Sciences and is currently pursuing a PhD on the physical and cerebral effects of dance and creativity on people with chronic pain. Together with Pablo Molero and Juanlu León organizes the International Festival of Danza DZM (Extremadura) and in 2018 he creates the work El Barbero de Picasso, presented at the National Theater in Nairobi (Kenya).

En 2020 realiza una residencia de creación en el Espacio DT para la producción de la obra Flamencas, un viaje por las mujeres que han luchado a través del tiempo en este arte que fue estrenada en el Festival Escena Patrimonio producido por la UNESCO y también comienza a trabajar para la compañía de circo flamenco y danza Albadulake, en el proyecto Serrana.
